Botswana - the nation

Botswana is an incredibly beautiful country located in Southern Africa and bordered by South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia.

Much of the country is at the edge of the Great Kalahari Desert. The National Flaf of BotswanaIt is due to the desert that much of the 1.7 milion population is densest in the southern capitol city of Gabarone. Of the population, 85% follow traditional religions and 15% is Christian. The main exports of the country include various minerals-including diamonds. Beef is another one of their greatest exports to Europe.

The annual rainfall measures only 10 inches per year in the south with twice the amount in the northern region of the country.

Wildlife can be seen anywhere in Botswana, however, the "Big Five" —elephant, rhino, lion, cape Buffalo and leopard are seen in the Central and Northern Districts.

Botswana - the church

The Assemblies of God is the oldest Pentecostal church in the country. There are presently 52 pastors and more than 100 churches and preaching points. There is one Bible College which is located in Gaborone.
